Buses for Senior Cheerleaders to Grad Night!

It is mandatory for all cheerleaders to attend the Baseball game this Saturday.  For all seniors, a bus will be provided from Dodger Stadium to Grad Night!

Remember that being in cheer is a commitment and we are there to support all school sports!

Baseball and Banquet Update

BASEBALL GAME

VNHS Wolves Baseball made it to FINALS at DODGER STADIUM! Awesome job Wolves!
It is mandatory for all cheerleaders to attend the game this Saturday.  We will meet at Van Nuys High School at 7:45AM.  We will meet by my office on Kittridge St.  Buses will be provided for cheer and band and will leave at 8AM sharp. The game at Dodger Stadium will begin 10AM.  Everyone is encouraged to join us and meet us at Dodger Stadium!

Camp and Summer Practice Info!

There has been a change of plans.  Due to finals, the cheer team will be off finals week June 2nd -June 6th.  Summer Practice will start June 9th from 4-6 PM.

Also, camp deposit of $200.00 is due Friday, May 30th.  The remaining of the balance will be due Friday, June 27th. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at coachrenard17@gmail.com

Cheer Update

Hello Parents and Students! First, I want to thank the cheerleaders who attended the track meet at Birmingham HS. You did a great job serving our community! Second, we are continuing having practice on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 3-6PM.

                            Announcements

• BANQUET will be June 9th.  There will be a banquet fee for $25/person that include rental fees, food, and drinks.
• SUMMER PRACITCE will begin Tuesday, June 9th and will continue same days.  However, times will change to 4-6PM.  Therefore, BE ON TIME! (Location TBA)

Note: Just want to remind all students that for any field trip you may get picked up by a parent with a prior note. Students who do not provide a note the day before they must ride on the school bus back to campus.

Camp Dates- Friday July 25th through Monday July 28th, 2014
Camp Deposit Due Now- $200
Balance Due June 27- $250
Camp Fees include hotel, food, and camp training!

VNHS Cheer Demo

There are cheerleading tryouts coming up! Listen to this Podcast for more information about tryouts.  Enjoy!
Here is a video demonstrating stunting and tumbling skills for cheer. These skills are learned in the summer during cheer practice. At the end of the video, I added a competition routine to see how skills look like when they are put together.

Jamfest National Champions/Try Out Dates

First, I want to congratulate our Varsity Cheer Team for placing 1st at The JamFest Competition! I am proud of you girls but the year is not over yet.  We have the YPI cheer competition left so its time to work hard again to take another 1st place trophy home. Second, We have tryouts the following dates:

Competition Update

Hello Team and Parents!

The girls are working hard to compete on a higher level this year. The girls have accomplished many goals but we still have a lot of work to do. Unfortunately, the girls are not ready for this weekend. That is the main reason I decided to CANCEL SpiritClub competition.  However, I now that we will be ready next week. Please respond to this message for any general questions or concerns.

Note: SpiritClub did not receive our payment. Therefore, I will use the $65 to book the Hotel for Vegas.
